• Drop-In Classes continue through most studio breaks with limited closures for holidays.

Class Descriptions

• Basic Ballet: This class delves deeply into the foundations of ballet, including posture and mechanics of the most common movements. It is a good place for newcomers to start and for experienced dancers to improve their technique. Class finishes with 10-15 minutes of stretching on the floor. Please bring a yoga mat/towel if you would like to use one.

• Intermediate/Advanced Ballet: This class is designed for those who are already comfortable with ballet basics to practice and continue to grow. Our goal is to challenge the dancers appropriately, whether they are very experienced or just starting to expand beyond the basics.

• Contemporary: This class is based on contemporary ballet technique, with modern and lyrical jazz mixed in. Class begins with approximately 15 minutes of warm up in the center of the room, followed by a handful of progressions across the floor. We include floor work, but dancers are welcome to modify anything that is uncomfortable.

• Pointe/Pre-Pointe: This class focuses on pointe exercises, steps, and artistry. Dancers may attend this class in flat shoes to strengthen their feet and ankles and improve their balance, but pointe shoes require the instructor's permission.

Pointe/Pre-Pointe classes are Technique Classes which Drop-In Students are also invited to attend. They follow the Fall or Spring Technique Session schedule.
